My name is James Covello. I have always straddled the technical and the creative, and have degrees in both Engineering and in English. I bought my first camera (a Nikon FM2) in 1981 after my freshman year of high school and have been photographing ever since. I will photograph almost anything, but my primary subjects are landscapes and nature. I also enjoy portraits and sports, although the latter is largely restricted to swim meets. I enjoy hikes and road trips, and enjoy the challenge of coming away with special photographs from wherever I explore.
